Timber Treatment

The term Wood Worm is a condition caused by the larvae of four types of Beetles that are resident in the United Kingdom.

  • Common Furniture Beetle (Anobium punctatum)
  • Death Watch Beetle           (Xstobium rufvilosium)
  • House Longhorn
  • Wood boring Weevil

  • Our fully trained and experienced surveyors operating throughout the South West, covering Devon, Cornwall and Somerset are able to correctly determine whether a timber treatment is actually necessary as the wrong identification of the insect species can lead to costly and unnecessary timber treatments being carried out

    Our Surveyors will identify the insect species and the extent of the infestation and whether it is active or inactive and provide a report on the extent of the infestation and the cost of the necessary timber treatment which normally consists of one or more of the following applications which are carried out by our highly skilled and efficient technicians;

  • Course Spray
  • Fogging or Misting
  • Paste injection
  • Self diffusing Rods
